You Talk Funny was established 3 years ago.
Coming collectively from experience of over 20 years of performing in, and running comedy clubs, corporate gigs and national competitions, with a demand for a genuine introduction to public speaking, communication and comedy.
You Talk Funny fits a lot of the needs of people wanting to gain confidence in public speaking but doing it in a fun and entertaining way.
To meet and create excellent communicators passionate about getting people connected in fun and effective ways.
About The Facilitator!
Ciarán McMahon has a Masters Degree in Adult Education and just completed a Train the Trainer Course in 2018. Since commencing teaching Stand Up Comedy, he has since taught over 500 people stand up and improvisational comedy.
Some do it for fun, some to overcome the fear of public speaking - others get hooked and are professional comedians now.
Nearly every comedy gig in Dublin has someone who took part in Ciaran's workshops, be it stand ups, improvers, MC’s or club runners, many have been introduced to comedy through Ciaran's You Talk Funny’ comedy workshops and gigs.
Ciaran regularly performs weekly in Laughter Lines Improv Troupe; Monthly in the Workmans Club for he Splendid Lunatics Comedy Show - and that is when he is not Mc-ing weekly or performing in various clubs like the Hapenny Bridge Inn - Battle of the Axe, or Anseo, as well as abroad, Munich, Prague and the U.S. of A. Ciaran is off to Edinburgh Festival later this year to perform some improv and possibly some stand up too!
